openDemocracy.net: Publishing interns

openDemocracy is currently looking for freelance publishing interns to help with the daily maintenance of our major website. We are looking for highly motivated, reliable, flexible and committed individuals to maintain our high standards of producing quality content on the net. A good knowledge of global current affairs and the current news agenda, plus demonstrable interest in web publishing is preferred.

The ongoing internship is on a part-time, casual basis with a minimum requirement of five hours per week. Candidates must be able to work remotely.

openIndia: Editorial interns

openIndia, oD's forthcoming section on Indian democracy from the perspective of the "developing world", is looking for part-time interns capable of quick, responsive writing. Responsibilities include aggregating relevant news stories, providing succinct analysis, and online publishing and marketing.

Demonstrated writing ability and some experience with web-based publishing required. Knowledge of Indian politics is helpful, but not essential. Backgrounds in political sciences, history, anthropology, development studies, and cultural studies are preferred. This is a writing-intensive internship.

Interested applicants from India and countries across Asia, Africa and Latin America are strongly encouraged to apply, as are students. Applicants must be able to work remotely.

terrorism.openDemocracy: Editorial interns

We are looking for interns to help with the production of terrorism.openDemocracy's regular "security briefings". The ongoing internship is on a part-time, casual basis with a minimum requirement of half-a-day per week. Candidates must be able to work remotely.

The successful candidate will have an interest in terrorism and security related issues, be a strong writer, and have some experience of website management and HTML coding. Please note that this is a writing-intensive internship.
