About Alexei Kozlov

Alexei Kozlov is the founder and editor of Article20, and co-author of a methodology for monitoring and reporting on freedom of assembly and association in Russia. In 2013 he was compelled to leave Russia. Since January 2014 he has organised a yearly conference on repressions of civil society in Russia. In 2014-15 he was enrolled in a post-doctoral programme at the University of Jena, and since 2015 has been the coordinator of “political emigration in Russia today.”
