About Ali Ali

Ali Ali is an academic researcher interested in the socio-economic implications of violent conflict in the Middle East including displacement and political economies of war. His previous research has addressed displacement and state-transformation in contemporary Iraq and the socio-economic effects of the current war in Syria. Ali is currently working on a project about the politics of the Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon and Jordan at the Refugee Studies Centre at the University of Oxford. Follow him @ali_ak_ali
