Francione is Board of Governors Distinguished Professor of Law and Katzenbach Scholar of Law and Philosophy at Rutgers University and is Honorary Professor (Philosophy) at the University of East Anglia. He focuses on animal ethics and animals and the law, and has developed what is known as the Abolitionist position on animal rights.
