Levi Van Sant received his PhD in Geography from the University of Georgia in 2016 and is currently a lecturer of geography at Georgia Southern University. His dissertation analyzed the racial politics of land and agriculture in the Charleston, South Carolina area. Articles from this research have been published in Geoforum, Capitalism Nature Socialism, and Gastronomica.
