Michał Syska is director of the progressive think tank Ferdinand Lassalle Centre For Social Thought in Wroclaw, Poland. He has been published in Gazeta Wyborcza, Dziennik, Rzeczpospolita, Krytyka Polityczna, Le Monde Diplomatique - Polish edition and Social Europe Journal. He is a social and political activist and co-author and editor of the books Ile ojczyzn? Ile patriotyzmów? (How many motherlands? How many patriotisms?) (2007), Norwegia. Przewodnik nieturystyczny (Norway. A guide for non-tourists) (2010), Socjaldemokratyczna polityka społeczna (Social democratic social policy) (2012), and Partie polityczne w Polsce i w Europie (Political parties in Poland and Europe) (2013). He is currently a doctoral candidate in political sciences.
