About Nadezhda Tolokonnikova

Nadezhda Tolokonnikova is a former member of the feminist protest group, Pussy Riot. Arrested along with two other members of the group for performing a protest song in Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in February 2012, Tolokonnikova served almost two years in various detention centres. Released five months early under an amnesty in December 2013, she is now an activist for prisoners' rights in Russia.
