About Sezai Temelli

Sezai Temelli is Co-Chair of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP). After his doctoral studies in the Istanbul University Faculty of Economics he became a faculty member of the Istanbul University Faculty of Political Sciences, and was active in the Academic Instructors Union, the Education and Science Workers’ Union and the Freedom and Solidarity Party when he was dismissed from university by decree in 2016. One of the founders of HDP, Temelli was elected as an Istanbul MP in the June 7 elections. Until his election as HDP Co-Chair in February, 2018, he served as Vice President for Economic and Social Policies.
