openDemocracy is for all of us: please give your support today

You are a valued contributor to this global forum. As a reader you give us your engaged attention, your time and recommend oD to your friends. We share many values. You may well be one of thousands of oD authors worldwide who have freely written articles for all of us to share over the last decade. We have never taken you for granted, but today we are asking you to help in a different way.

Membership. Please become a Member of openDemocracy. We have reached the stage in our development where, in order to be viable, we need to increase the share of the revenue that comes from committed oD readers like yourself. For the main website to support the independent sections and create new debates we have to budget for editing, publishing, outreach, and development. We are fantastically economical. So your support towards these costs will make a big impact. As a guide we are asking everyone to give £45/$60/€60 if you are waged, but please make it more or less - the amount to join is entirely up to you.

Benefits. As a Member

  • You will belong to a world-wide openDemocracy network that you can help build.
  • We would like to send you our editors’ overview of the week in an email, with its sharp summary of our content and links to the best elsewhere on the web making it easy for you to see what’s fresh.

Your contribution. Please give as generously as you can, but exercise your own judgment. If you would like a guide, we recommend £45/$60/€60 per year for those who are waged. Over to you. And thank you!

Making your contribution. We try to offer a payment method that will suit everyone so you can use the form and button below to pay through paypal or debit/credit card, or if you would like to use UK Gift Aid, US 501c3, ANBI donations in the Netherlands, CAF online or pay by cheque, please go here and email so we know your payment is for Membership.

We encourage anyone to comment, please consult the
oD commenting guidelines if you have any questions.
