Akbar Ganji has been on hunger strike for 19 days and he has written a powerful [Letter](http://www.iran-emrooz.net/index.php?/news/more/2495/&ref=opendemocracy.net) from the prison just in case if he dies there, he wants the world to know Khamanei will be directly responsible for his death.

[Zaneirani](http://zaneirani.blogspot.com/?ref=opendemocracy.net), a popular Iranian blogger has translated 90% of his letter so Ganji’s voice can be heard by more people around the world.

At the end of his letter he says, “I am against Khamanei's unlimited lifetime rule because it is contradictory to the rule of people. I knew my statements would have ramifications and I was right. Even Rafsanjani, Karoubi, and Moin tasted a bit of Khamenei's democracy in this election. One-man rule contradicts democracy”.
