Sorry, I know overt alliteration is for demented 15 year old’s who have discovered ‘poetry’, but [I’m quite excited](http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/story/13248532/why%5Fgore%5Fshould%5Frun%5F%5Fand%5Fhow%5Fhe%5Fcan%5Fwin/1?ref=opendemocracy.net). Rolling Stone has run a piece speculating, yes speculating, that Al Gore maybe could just run for President. It follows a line of reasoning I’ve used myself in more happy, overly speculative moments. The ‘Stone notes Nixon’s success in being elected 8 years after he was robbed of the Presidency in 1960\. It also highlights how Gore has accidentally on purpose become something of a Hollywood celebrity, which actually works better than sticking around in the senate and quietly [contradicting yourself](http://www.crooksandliars.com/2007/01/25/cafferty-calls-out-saint-mccain/?ref=opendemocracy.net) or taking no strong position on [anything](http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200611/green-hillary?ref=opendemocracy.net).

Hmmmm – well all I can say is draft Gore, your planet needs you…
