Thanks to Doug Ireland for posting [this account](http://direland.typepad.com/direland/2006/03/irans%5Fbrutal%5Fas.html?ref=opendemocracy.net) of the international women's day protests in Tehran where trash cans were emptied over the heads of women and security forces wielded batons to disperse the crowd of 1000 assembled men and women. Journalists were rounded up and had film and photographs confiscated.
