# Living in Europe

[Living in Europe](http://www.livingeurope.eu.com/index.html?ref=opendemocracy.net) is a web magazine which was set up in early 2005 by a group of pro-Europeans – not necessarily politically pro-European (the authors stress they take no editorial line on what political direction Europe should take), but pro-European in a cultural and social sense. The authors, who are neither politicians nor web-professionals, wish to foster a deeper understanding of the collective European identity, and have a number of interesting articles on culture, European cities, current affairs, as well as a discussion forum. Published quarterly, this web magazine is still very much in its infant stage, and is run by a handful of people across the continent. Small projects and collectives such as [Living in Europe](http://www.livingeurope.eu.com/index.html?ref=opendemocracy.net) really inspire hope for the future. After all, the European project is much too serious a matter to be entrusted to the politicians.
