# Narnia Mania

Why has everyone in the (British) media been unable to resist damning the new Chronicles of [Narnia](http://adisney.go.com/disneypictures/narnia/index.html?ref=opendemocracy.net) film as "filthy CS Lewis [propaganda](http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,,1663998,00.html?ref=opendemocracy.net) masquerading as harmless, family fun" - even in articles unrelated to the film itself? It seems an all-too-easy (and lazy) option to use the film to express personal anti-christian sentiments however popular they appear.
