Today from the openDemocracy forums: oD member Christian Lönnholm adresses the "possible decline of the US economic superiority":

*Often, this excersize in numbers is confusing and every economic evaluation lack in some means or another. But there is a number that is unescapable: the total size of the US economy. And when looking at that number, the Economist and Wikipedia finds that the US is nowdays the second largest economy in the world.*

The EU: 12,865,602 million USD
The US: 11,734,300 million USD
China: 9,412,361 million USD

(...) Is the EU living up to the role of the world's largest economy?
