Hungary's Prime minister, Ferenc Gyurcsany, admitted his party was "lying in the [morning](http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/5354972.stm?ref=opendemocracy.net), lying in the [evening](http://www.guardian.co.uk/international/story/0,,1875227,00.html?ref=opendemocracy.net)" in order to win the general elections. And while politicians caught lying is hardly breaking news, the fact that a transcript of the leaked tape of his 'confessions' was made available shortly afterwards on [his weblog](http://blog.amoba.hu/blog-2.php?oid=T01a2a7e3a104d9863919db4b3afc660&ref=opendemocracy.net) (in hungarian) is a little bit odd. He nevertheless also posted an entry re-affirming his 'passion' for his country, along with 'his eagerness to convince socialists to launch necessary measures - very quickly'.
