# Women to keep peace for UN in Liberia

The UN has created its first ever [women-only peacekeeping force](http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2006/09/08/asia/AS%5FGEN%5FIndia%5FWarrior%5FWomen.php?ref=opendemocracy.net), which will be deployed in Liberia. The women are all Indian police officers, and are expected to be "tough" but "more approachable" than men.
