# A BILLION for our human rights!

Solana Larsen in a bright, [short report on openDemocracy](http://www.opendemocracy.net/blog/5050/every%5Fhuman%5Fhas%5Frights%5Fa%5Fconference%5Fcall%5Fwith%5Fdesmond%5Ftutu%5Fmary%5Frobinson%5Fand%5Fgraca%5Fmachel), says that that Desmond Tutu, one of a group of Elders for Rights that includes a special hero of mine, Ireland's Mary Robinson, has said there should be a billion signatures attached to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. I am not clear where I sign. But I will. I think it is a great idea that people should support a UN governmental statement like this rather than just a petition.
