**Anthony Barnett (London,** [**OK**](http://ourkingdom.opendemocracy.net/2007/05/09/britain-to-have-a-written-constitution/?ref=opendemocracy.net)**):** I usually groan when I see the honours list but for the second time in six months I've cheered. After Geoffrey Bindman got knighted and immediately treated it as a permission to criticise the Iraq war Salman has had his citizenship confirmed. The BBC descibs him as a "[devout secularist](http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk%5Fnews/6756149.stm?ref=opendemocracy.net)". I'm happy to correct them. There is nothing devout about Salman at all! Strike one for the Enlightenment.
