Abdou Filali-Ansary is the founding director of the Aga Khan University Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations. He previously served for nearly two decades as the founding director of the King Abdul-Aziz Foundation for Islamic Studies and the Human Sciences in his native Morocco.
