Alasdair Stuart is a researcher specialising in working with disadvantaged and marginalised communities. Originally from Scotland he is now based in London and works at MBARC, a research consultancy focussed on tackling social exclusion. He has extensive experience of conducting research with asylum seekers and refugees, including a study examining the impact of 'legacy' asylum cases in Scotland and an evaluation of the Refugee Integration and Employment Service (RIES). He recently authored Over Not Out Refreshed, an update on progress against the original recommendations of the Over Not Out Report, the first comprehensive study of issues facing LGBTI asylum seekers.
