Alexandra Mateescu has recently completed an MA in anthropology at the University of Chicago, where she has conducted fieldwork on issues of heritage and historical representation at a Hellenic-American museum. She has previously written a BA thesis on Hagia Sophia during her undergraduate studies at the University of Chicago (2011).
