Angela Bourne is an Associate Professor at the Institute for Society and Globalisation at Roskilde University in Denmark. Current research looks at processes, justifications and consequences of banning political parties in European democracies. Publications include The European Union and the Accommodation of Basque Difference in Spain (2008, Manchester University Press) and books edited on The EU and Territorial Politics Within Member States: Conflict or Co-operation? (Brill, 2004) and European Union Studies (with Michelle Cini, Palgrave, 2006).
