Anna Bianca Roach is a freelance journalist with a focus on the intersection of gender, labour, and migration. She is based between Toronto, Canada; Redwood City, California; and Yerevan, Armenia. After finishing a degree in conflict studies at the University of Toronto, she moved to Armenia for a year, where she reported on the 2018 Velvet Revolution and its immediate aftermath. Today, she is based primarily in North America, where she is covering gender, social movements, and the evolution of labour rights under populist governments. See more on her website.
