Annemarie Profanter is Associate Professor of Intercultural Pedagogy at the Faculty of Education of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy and holds doctorates in both Education and Psychology and a masters from the University of London. She has held visiting lectureships and fellowships at City University in Peshawar, Pakistan, Dhofar University in Salalah, Sultanate of Oman, and Prince Mohammed University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She has worked on projects dealing with Arab women’s experiences in the Gulf, migration and integration of Muslim immigrants in Europe.
