Bengt-Åke Lundvall, having written the first textbook on Marxist economics in Sweden in 1970, was deputy director at OECD 1992-95. He was involved in the preparation of the Lisbon strategy 2000. He is professor at Aalborg University, Denmark and at Sciences Po in Paris, and known for his work on innovation systems and the learning economy.
