Benjamin Woods is a researcher with Jobs With Justice. He was born and raised in Oklahoma City. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in political science at Howard University, where he examines black labour leaders and US foreign policy in Africa. In addition to his professional and academic work, he has been a student and community organiser for over 10 years. He is currently helping to build the Black Workers Center in Washington, D.C.
