Cecilia Butini is a freelance multilingual reporter based between Germany and Italy who covers migration, politics and human rights for English-speaking publications. She is interested in exploring the way news events impact on the lives of ordinary people. Having received her Master’s from the Columbia Journalism School in 2018 as a Fulbright scholar, she has worked with AFP, the Italian national newspaper La Stampa, and had her writing published in a variety of news outlets.
