Chiara Giorgi is a historian at “Sapienza” University of Rome and has published books on the history of the Welfare State, the healthcare system, Italian colonialism, Fascism and left politics. She is the author of a biography of Lelio Basso and has edited an English collection of his writings (A Heterodox Marxist and his Century: Lelio Basso, Brill, 2020).
