Dan MacInnes is a Senior Research Professor at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Canada. He grew up loving cooperatives, which in the 1950s were meeting places that made rural life work. Later, Dan did an assessment of South African cooperatives, which served as ‘fronts’ that hid brave people who opposed Apartheid.
