Dan Schiller

Dan Schiller, a historian of communications and information systems, is Professor Emeritus of Library & Information Science and of Communication at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. A contributor to Le Monde diplomatique, his books include Telematics and Government (1982), Theorizing Communication (1996), Digital Capitalism (1999), How To Think about Information (2007), and Digital Depression: Information Technology and Economic Crisis (2014).
