David Goldfischer is associate professor at the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies and the former director of its international security program. He is the author of The Best Defense: Policy Alternatives for U.S. Nuclear Security From the 1950s to the 1990s and co-editor of Nuclear Deterrence and Global Security in Transition. He was the founding director of the Institute for International and Civil Security at Khalifa University in the United Arab Emirates.
