Elena Volkava has been a research assistant at the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict over the last year. Prior to ICNC she worked as a research assistant at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars and conducted research on regionalism in Ukraine, migration to the United States from Southeast Europe, human trafficking and gender-based violence.
