Ellie Geranmayeh is a policy fellow for the Middle East and North Africa Programme, joining ECFR in October 2013, having closely followed developments in the nuclear negotiations between world powers and Iran. She previously worked at Herbert Smith Freehills LLP law firm (based in London and Tokyo), where she advised on sanctions regimes. Ellie has earned a Masters in Laws, focusing on public international law and international relations at the University of Virginia, where she was a McClure Human Rights Fellow.
