Frieder Otto Wolf is Honorary Professor for Philosophy at the Free University of Berlin. He has been working on the politics of radical philosophy, on finite marxism, and on the politics of the European Union. He is editing the collected works of Louis Althusser in German. He has been active in European politics, having served as an MEP from 1994-99.
His books include "Die neue Wissenschaft des Thomas Hobbes" (1969), "Radikale Philosophie" (2002), "Humanismus für das 21. Jahrhundert" (2009), and "Rückkehr in die Zukunft" (2012).
