Georges Haddad was elected President of the University Paris-1 Panthéon-Sorbonne on May 17, 2016. Before, he was director of the research unit at Unesco. A graduate of the Ecole Normale Superieure, Georges Haddad holds a Masters in Mathematics from the University Paris 7 and a postgraduate degree in mathematics from the University Paris 6. He obtained a state doctorate in mathematics in 1983.
