Graciela Chichilnisky is Professor of Economics and of Mathematical Statistics at Columbia University and a leading force in the climate change crusade. She is the actual creator and author of the Kyoto Protocol, which was adopted in 1997 and became international law in 2005. She studied at MIT and Berkeley, holds a PhD in Pure Mathematics and a PhD in Economics, and is the author of numerous books, including Saving Kyoto, and hundreds of academic articles. She is also founder and managing director of Global Thermostat.
