
Hala Adel Abdelgawad is a Ph.D. candidate in Gender Studies at the School of Law, Politics and Sociology, University of Sussex. She is also an Assistant Lecturer of Political Science at Cairo University. Her Ph.D. dissertation focuses on gendered practices and discourses of the Egyptian judiciary in relation to women’s judgeship. Hala obtained her M.Sc. in Political Sociology from the London School of Economics, and her B.Sc. in Political Science from Cairo University.
