Hilary Aked is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Social and Policy Sciences at the University of Bath, researching the pro-Israel lobby in the UK. A freelance researcher and journalist for Spinwatch, she is co-author of ‘Giving peace a chance? The Britain Israel Communications and Research Centre’ (2013) and ‘The Henry Jackson Society and the degeneration of British neoconservatism: Liberal interventionism, Islamophobia and the ‘War on Terror’” (2015). She previously studied at the University of Oxford and the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
