Huseyin Rasit is a PhD candidate in Sociology at Yale University. Prior to Yale, he obtained his bachelor’s degree from Bogazici University, and attended the graduate program in Political Science at Sabanci University. His is currently studying the diverse emergent political projects in Syria and Iraq, such as Rojava, Bashur, and ISIS. His research also involves revolutions and revolutionary organizations, ethnicity, and questions of violence.
