Ian Rutledge is author of Enemy on the Euphrates: The British Occupation of Iraq and the Great Arab Revolt, 1914–1921 (Saqi books, 2014). He is research director of Sheffield Energy Resources Information Services (SERIS),
and has taught at the Universities of London and Sheffield and for the
