Ingar Solty is a German political scientist from York University, Toronto. He is social movements and politics editor for the German periodical Das Argument. His articles have appeared in Das Argument, Socialism & Democracy and Capital & Class, covering a broad range of themes in international political economy, US and European politics, political theory, and political aesthetics. Books include: Neoliberalism, Petrol States, and the New Imperialism: The Political Economy of Arab Spring, the 2011 NATO Intervention, and the New Civil War in Libya (2015); The USA under Obama: Charismatic Rule, Social Movements and Imperial Politics in the Global Crisis (2013); Critical-Intellectual Engagement Today (2009).
