Ionel N. Sava is a Professor of Sociology and International Relations at the University of Bucharest, Romania. He is a former Fulbright Fellow at the University of California in Los Angeles (2001) and diplomat. His research focuses on the transition to democracy and market economy in Eastern Europe and, more recently, on social movements. He is the author of six books and a number of articles and book chapters on these issues.
