Jean Allain holds the Chair in Public International Law at Queen’s University, Belfast and is an Extraordinary Professor, Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria. His most recent book is The Law and Slavery. In February 2016, he gave evidence at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights on the legal content of slavery, servitude and forced labour.
