Joe Costello is a former member of the Irish Parliament and Minister for Trade And Development. He was Labour Party spokesperson on European Affairs and subsequently Chair of the European Affairs Committee. He also directed the Labour Party’s campaign for a yes vote in the referenda on the Lisbon and Fiscal Compact Treaties. Finally, he was also Director of Elections for President Michael D. Higgins in his Presidential campaign in 2011.
