Karin Bashir is a Masters student at Cambridge University, studying international relations with a focus on development and refugee policy in the Middle East. Previously she researched the condition of Pakistani labourers in Bahrain on a Fulbright grant. She spent six months in Turkey living and working with Syrian refugees and visited a field site in Sulemaniya, Iraq.
