Krista Nadakavukaren Schefer is professor of international law at the University of Basel’s Faculty of Law and is part of the World Trade Institute in Bern. Long interested in the intersection of international economic law and other areas international law, her recent research looks at poverty, corruption, human rights, and vulnerability. She is also actively pursuing research on the legal implications of obesity and of the commercial uses of drones. Professor Nadakavukaren received her juris doctor from Georgetown University Law School, and her doctorate and “habilitation” from the University of Bern.
