Lea Müller-Funk is a postdoctoral research fellow at the German Institute for Global and Area Studies where she studies forced migration governance in the Middle East and North Africa in a comparative and long-term perspective. Her past Marie Curie research project SYRMAGINE dealt with living conditions, migration decision-making and future imaginations of Syrian refugees in Turkey and Lebanon.
