Dr. Louise Olsson is Head of Policy and Research on Gender, Peace and Security at the Folke Bernadotte Academy, Sweden. Olsson has conducted research on peace operations since 1999. In April 2015, she and Theodora-Ismene Gizelis published the anthology, Gender, Peace and Security: Implementing UN Resolution 1325. She contributed to the first UN lessons learned project on this topic in 1999-2000, called "Mainstreaming a gender perspective in Multidimensional Peace Operations”.
