Lupe A. Flores is a graduate student in Anthropology and Mexican American Studies and Curatorial Assistant in the Border Studies Archive at the University of Texas Río Grande Valley. He’s published research on the liminal experiences of coyotaje and border militarization in Río Bravo: A Journal of the Borderlands and continues to study informal border crossings and the mass securitization of the lower Río Grande border.
